I'm so sorry this has happened to you, and I really hope it does not dissuade you form being kind and helpful to another person in need in the future because that would be such a shame.  You did the right thing, and you should honor that about yourself. 

I don't know why there are people who behave so ungraciously when they've been helped but, sadly, the world is full of them.

What really saddens me the most about this is that she is not only a member of our OH family, but that she is part of the military family.

As a military family, we each look out for one another, and we do not take advantage of one another.  We are thankful and gracious when someone gives of themselves to us, and we give back when we are able.

This woman is not only a disgrace to the OH family but, even more importantly, to her military family.  Shame on her...

Don't feel badly.  All she had to do was quickly thank everyone that helped her (and it sounded from her post that many of our OH family did) apologize and send you your protein and all would have been forgotten.  She lied.  She has never sent me a thank you and I'm not expecting this thank you today from her friends laptop.  She clearly had time to post after receiving all her goodies.  I'm afraid that you, sadly, will not be getting the protein either.  I hope I'm wrong!

I wish you could see the PM that she sent me BEFORE she received my protein.  "If there was anything she could ever do for me, etc... blah, blah, blah.  I wasn't expecting anything but a PM saying she received it would have been nice. 

I appreciate so much that you posted your post because I was feeling a bit used.  I was just telling myself that I did something nice for a stranger that needed help.  I can only control me and my actions.  I cannot control anyone elses.  If they behave badly, they will have to answer for it.  Not me. 

Thank you for having the courage to post this thread.  I didn't have it.  I'm sorry that this entire thing happened but you're the one with the good heart.  Don't stop being the kind person you are!
