Energy question
I noted reduced energy levels in myself starting at about two weeks post-op. The drop-off was pretty dramatic... I'd get winded walking around the block and had to stop to rest a couple of times. The climb back to "normal" energy levels was much less of a quantum leap. It was so slow and gradual that I just sort of realized one day, maybe four months post-op, that I'd had more energy for a few weeks.
If my case is typical, then you can count on feeling run-down for three to four months after your surgery. This may have more to do with rapid weight loss than with post-surgery healing. It seems to me that if you're eating right, your body doesn't have a lot of surplus food to convert to storable energy reserves.
All in all, considering my condition before the surgery, I'd take the sporadic loss of peppiness over being morbidly obese any day.
Good luck on your journey.

I'm 5 weeks out and TODAY is the first day I felt up for exercise. I walked a mile! I take all my vitamins and get 80-100 g protein daily, mostly shakes but also food/yogurt when I can get it down. So be patient with yourself and just stay up on your vits/liquids/protein!
