Anyone eat bacon?

I am 12 weeks out and of course cleared to eat anything, so today I ate Hormel Microwave bacon.
Good or bad?  I'm sure if I hear folks telling me to stay away from it I will heed their advice, but if you eat it every once in awhile and believe it's okay then I want to hear that too.

The stats for the bacon:
2 slices 7 g fat, 2.5 sat.fat, protein 5.

I was curious so I checked my food intake stats for the past 2 months and my averages are:
Calories-713
Protein-80.4
Fat-24.9  Sat-7.7  Poly Fat-2.4  Mono 5.3
Carbs-42.4
Dietary Fiber-3.6

Looking at my pie chart protein is the biggest piece of the pie, I can only imagine what it used to look like before WLS when I was eating sugar, sugar, sugar, bad carbs.

I'm pleased with my weight loss at this almost three months out.  If statistics say I will succeed with losing 80% of my excess weight I am over half way there since I have lost 49.4 pounds.

I eat it on occasion. I've never been a HUGE bacon eater, but once in a while it's nice.

I ate two pieces yesterday. I love bacon but I just limit how often I eat it. I have had it three times in four months.

I like bacon, a lot. When I'm home I try and do Turkey bacon because the stats are a bit better but if I'm out or at work, regular bacon, nice and crispy is just fine. As with anything moderation is key.

I can't do it. Anything  greasy, oily or slick still causes "foamies" & vomiting for me.

I eat it occasionally as well--it's not the highest protein meat but I do enjoy it!

Since I am still on pureed foods - I will toss a slice or two of bacon in my large batch of chicken breast, and puree the heck out of it.  Then I portion it out into 2oz servings and enjoy.

I used to be the biggest bacon eater ever.  It was to the point that when BF made breakfast, I would only eat bacon.  Sometimes a whole package.
Then as a joke, BF started getting me bacon flavored items, like bacon salt, bacon soap and my favorite, bacon chapstick.  Well, no joke, the chapstick and salt really help with the cravings!!

Yep yep yep, I like it extra cripsy now.  One or two slices will make do for quite a while for me.

I eat bacon when I want it. I've found that if I get it from the meat counter as opposed to buying it pre-packaged, I have the option of getting leaner cuts. The stuff I've been buying lately is so lean that you literally almost have to grease the pan used to fry it to keep it from sticking. (This is real, pork bacon, not turkey bacon.) Pre-op, I didn't even know that there was the option of "lean" bacon because I always bought the pre-packaged kind like Oscar Meyer.

Anyway, enjoy your bacon! It's really not bad for you =)
