I'm so sorry for your loss. If your mom didn't know before how hard you tried to get there, she does now. You and yours are in my prayers. Take care.

(((HUGS))) One day at the time. Breathe in, breathe out.   Try to see that your mother is in a better place now.  It did help me, when I was going through that... I could close my eyes and see her smiling down at me... all relaxed and not in pain anymore....
Just make sure you ge****er in and some vitamins - specially B's.  And remember the cheese is good food for us and you can get it almost anywhere - even most convenience stores.

My deepest condolences on the loss of your mother.

I can feel your frustration and anger at all you went through to try to get there on time. Please rest assured that your mother knows you tried and she is smiling down on you now.

So sorry my friend.  I lost my mother in December 09.  I promise you she knew how hard you tried and knew how much she was loved.

Take care of you and be kind to yourself--know you are such a better person inside and out than that jerk you had to deal with.

Ask the desk clerk at the hotel if they have some bowls/plates you can have, and for a can opener.  You'd be surprised what they often have for themselves that they'll share.

Travel safely--you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Oh my, my thoughts and prayers go out to you at this difficult time.  You have done all you could to get there and she is resting in peace now.  This happened to me with my father four years ago and it did upset me at first too.

But I think sometimes people actually wait to die until they are alone.  At least that is what I have heard. I believe dying at the moment is a peaceful process and people are never alone in it even if they are physically alone.  There are others there to help them through the process and welcome them into the next world. Even if we are physcially there, we cannot help them with that.

I am sorry this happened the way that it did for you but you are strong and you will get through this.  Thankfully you have your daughter with you.

Be kind to yourself and rest easy.
