First milestone reached.
I feel almost silly mentioning this as something /big/, but today I tried my (cheap) electric scale and for the first time in months it didn't come back with an error message. I'm officially back in the range it can count, and I'd be lying if I didn't admit I teared up a little.
It's only been two and a half weeks, and with the reading today, I've already lost nearly thirty pounds. It's hard to even grasp that, though it really sunk in when a friend of mine pointed out I've already lost around the same weight as a little kid is. I realize I haven't gotten to the hard part (in terms of getting used to the diet) yet - stage III is still at least a week and a half away - but after a rough day in terms of wanting what I can't have (my neighbor, bless her, brought our family her fresh bread. How sad is it that I crave BREAD over anything else??), this is a welcome reminder of why this is worth it.
In terms of how I'm feeling, I've gotten better. I'm feeling better. If you happen to remember, I had some heart issues that my doctor wanted me to check out. All of that is being worked on (I have some upcoming tests), and it seems at worst I'll need to take a pill for a fast beat. You wouldn't believe how much better that makes me feel.
So yeah. I hope everyone (especially my fellow newbies!) are doing well. I felt this was a 'yay' post worth sharing. :)
