childless for a week
After my 2 week liquid post op, I went with family out to eat and had mashed sweet potato and citrus grilled veggies. I had to make up my protein that I didn't eat at that meal but I had fun going out with the family. I was also very inexpensive for me to eat and had left overs to take home. It was yummy since I had been on 2 weeks liquid. I think you could also try a very flakey white fish, grilled or baked and chew chew chew. Puree it before you swallow it.
Movies, look for outdoor concerts, walks in the park, go out dancing. Think about activities you would like to do, perhaps used to do, before your entire schedule was taken over by the kids. This is a great test run for further down the road. Food isn't going to be the focus of your entertainment in the future.
Have fun and enjoy the time with each other!

Kids have been our whole lives!!! This is the first time in about 13 years we havent had a single kid in the house. We have 4 kids. 2 are grown and gone. One is now entering college this year and the baby is a senior in HS.... so not much longer til we are empty nesters. only we have spent so much time doing kid things I forgot what we used to do as a couple. went to the beach a couple of times but I am still too flabby for that.
