1 Year out how much you eating???? Im so hungry!!
Im so scared Im going to fail at this! I dont want to gain my weight back!
The best advice I could give to you is to stop the grazing. If you need a snack to get you through plan it into your day. Make it protein forward. Avoid all refined carbs, sugar, bread, chips and things like that. Make sure you are getting in enough protein and fluids.
When I was still losing I kept my calories around 1000 to 1200.

Me personally, I know my history, my family history, my psychological history...and I cannot trust that I will ever behave 'normally' around food. I don't argue this with naysayers; I know this about myself. I was given wonderful advice by someone to track and schedule what I eat RELIGIOUSLY. I don't look at this as a problem either. I have friends and family who do this for health reasons and i consider myself the same.
I eat at regularly scheduled intervals. 6 times a day. 3 meals of 6.5 oz each. 2 snacks of 4oz each. 1 end of the day treat. If you ask me to think about it..i'll probably say that I am hungry. But I woke up outta surgery hungry. All I did was think about food. But now, I don't even think about it. I just eat my prescribed meals. I tell myself that i'm eating enough cals, drinking enough water, taking all my vites...I got what I need.
Sorry for typing on and on...just wanted to share my experience...
- *12-18 Months After Surgery: eat 1200 calories a day. Eat 3 protein meals a day and 1 protein snack {no further than 4 hours apart}. I also drink a lot of water/sugar free drink mixes in between meals.
- *18 Months after surgery {or when goal weight is reached before 18 months}: Maintenance calories {BMR & Activity Level}. Malabsorption of calories lasts approximately 18 months.
- *I have not formally exercised due to Rheumatoid Arthritis and Osteoarthritis but I move around a lot more.
Carbs make you hungry and fruit is carbs. Try cutting out the fruit, planning what you are eating and see if you are still hungry all the time.

What you describe sounds like the wall I hit around 1 year and it was really tough for a few months. It was an emotional wall called FEAR. Maybe even TERROR!
Food became my enemy. Every bite contained the possibility of triggering the landslide and overnight 120 lbs would jump on me when I wasn't looking.
You may not be eating enough as a reaction to that fear. Good job tracking to come up with caloric intake. But it isn't just about calories.
You're stepping into your new life as it is going to be. I wish you a peaceful relationship with yourself and food, and ease in finding the balance of nourishment and exercise.
As at least one person noted above, she accepts hunger but doesn't put her mind on it. Others might call the hunger emotional masquerading as physical. Others might figure they are actually hungry and modify behaviour and choices to tame the hungry beast. I've come to the conclusion that we've got to find what works for us individually - and use our support systems for support and guidance.
Just my opinion only, fruit is an important part of most diets. When I used to have diabetes which was controlled by diet, fruit and sugars were allowed in my diet - it was all about balance and using protein to prevent blood sugar swings. That worked for my body. Not saying it would work for everyone.
Grazing... it may be that you need to eat actual small meals frequently.
Good luck!
