Hey, folks.  I am 2.5 weeks post-op.  I haven't had any bad food (been really good).  However, my face is so oily now and I'm really breaking out a lot.  Any ideas??

Is it possible that your body could just be ridding itself of all of the bad toxins that have been inside your for years?  Do you notice that you are sweating more?

Often times, when your body is accustomed to junk food and is shocked into clean eating, it cleanses itself from the inside out. You are most likely seeing the residue of your former life.

Just get a good face wash and it will end soon.

i'm glad you brought up skin issues. Now that you mention it, I've noticed over the last few weeks that my face has been really oil when it never was before. I didn't link it to the surgery and weight loss but now that I've read the comments, it makes sense. I keep baby wipes in my car and purse. I use them 2 or 3 times a day. I decided not to wear makeup. It feels weird anyway with an oily face. My face has broken out once or twice but they went away pretty quick. Thanks again for bringing this up.

I think it's from hormones. Mine did the same thing. It settled down about the six month mark or so.

Lots of people have acne or at least oilier skin post op. You can do an OH search for acne and see tons of previous threads.
