stuck pill

hi y'all. I had rny Tuesday. Dr said to take an acid reducer daily. I started Friday. I cut it in thirds. Both today and yesterday, it feels like it  gets  stuck!  Today is actually worse than yesterday. The one I am taking is just the Equate version of Zantac-not big at all. I am seeing him Tuesday for 1 week post up and will discuss this then, but just wondering if anyone else has issues with little pills. (Everything else I am taking is liquid or chewable-vitamins, pain relief, gas relief). the only thing I can think of is maybe take it after I have some warm broth-might open up the passageway better. What do you think? Thanks!

try taking it with a little bit of sugar free apple sauce.    i got prevacid solu tabs so i didn't have that problem. 

Put the pill in a little ho****er and make a slurry the pill will melt into a paste like then take it down with a little juice.  We give the pediatric kiddos their medicines this way when needed. Remember you have a lot of swelling from Major surgery.

It may go down easier if you don't cut it. Cutting it makes it have funky edges that don't go down well.

What about a pill crusher? I got one at Walmart for $4 and it turns it into a powder with one twist.

I had the same problem and now have trouble with my petite calcium pills. I have found that if I take it with room temp water it goes down a little easier. I make sure I wait several minutes in between each pill, it does get easier, hang in there.

Try crushing it and putting it in applesauce/water to mask the taste until you can tolerate swallowing it whole.
