almost 5 months post op
I have a few concerns I am 4 and 1/2 months post op and I am worried that I am doing something wrong. I have days where I am so hungry that I could just sit and eat all day I don't do that though for fear that I will gain all my weight back. Then I have days where I don't really care if I eat or not but lately I have noticed that all I want to do is eat. My snacks are 3 8oz. glasses of skim milk a day. I still feel very hungry. I drink a lot of water also more then the recommened amount due to the fact that I am in and out of air conditioning at my workplace all day long. I am just wondering if this is normal or I have done something wrong.
You are fine. After almost 7 years I have days when I am extremely hungry and days when I am not. If you can eat more protein you will notice it stays with you longer. I notice when I eat simple carbs that it causes me to be more hungry and get more cravings, so I try to avoid things like crackers, toast, chips, or anything that is too easily digested.
I can't drink milk, since I am now lactose intolerant. I do drink protein drinks, so you might try those for a snack.
It is actually good to drink lots of water, but make sure you are not "flushing" the food out of your stomach.
Take care,
Alicia

Alicia is right on. Perhaps mix that milk with protein or change it up to yogurt or
pudding or something that has a "mushy" consistency so it hangs around in
your pouch longer. I notice now after about 7 months that my chai protein
drink for breakfast just gets me to lunchtime, where I used to force myself to
eat something for lunch. Good luck.
