Sick of protein? Try this...
So I had my 3 month follow up a few days ago. I stressed to my Nut that I HATE protein !! Like many other people. She suggested I try Isopure Low Carb premade... So I took a trip to GNC where they sell it.... Now the ones that arent premade and in the tub are just like every other protein drink..chalky..thick...BUT the premade ones are just like kool-aid. You cannot taste a bit of protein in them at all. I almost cried when I drank one lol because I thought this search for a good tasting protein drink was hopeless. Now they are kind of expensive...but you can buy them through amazon and if you get a gnc gold card that will help out. The GNC guy told me that alot of times they have cases on clearance to and your gold card takes an extra 20% off the clearance price too! Happiness!!!!!!!
Although I'm glad that you have found something that you like, and that you don't think you can taste the protein... if anyone reading this has NOT tried these, please do not purchase a bunch of them without trying them, because NOT EVERYONE thinks they taste good or that you cannot taste the protein in them. I think they are absolutely vile, in fact (although someone did say that they thought the manufacturer has modified them since I tried them 4 years ago).

I think they have an aftertaste that I don't like so much, but I can tolerate them. I don't think they taste just like Koolaid, though. It's funny how things taste so different to different people.

I like them too. I also notice a little bit of an aftertaste but mix it with some water and crystal light and it is awesome! I wish they made it in smaller bottles. My other new love is Muscle Milk Lite in Cafe Latte. LOVE it! It has caffeine but I limit it to 1 a day. I used to be able to do the powder protein before surgery but can't stand it now.
I think they taste horrible. I haven't tried them in about a year though so like Lora said unless the manufacturer changed them, beware and try one before you stock up.
I can't stand the Nectar fruit flavor either. I do much better with a chocolate or vanilla shake or Click. I can only use one scoop of Click at a time or I tend to get nauseated.

I'm another one that can't stand the Isopure RTD, I find it has an overwhelming metallic taste. In fact I have a whole bottle sitting in my fridge still that probably just needs to get dumped. I haven't tried any of their smoothie flavors though.
I also tried the Nectars and wasn't a fan, the smell more than the taste did me in.
It took me a few tries but I did find a chocolate and a vanilla protein powder that I can palate.
It's all trial and error.

I reluctantly tried one of the Isopure smoothies because Andrea U had said she really liked them, and they were actually buy-one-get-one-free, so I bought two. The first one had kind of an aftertaste (not as bad as the protein water, though) and made me burp a lot, but the second one (same flavor, actually) was just fine... very tasty, actually... so I think maybe the first one was old (hence the BOGO sale). I periodically pick one up at the Vitamin Shoppe just to have on hand when I don't feel like eating or am running around a lot.
