So I'm 17 months out and still maintaining between 154 and 157.  I'm 5'5" and weight 10 pounds heavier than my daughter who is 18.  I am in great shape for the first time in 20+ years. I love to shop now and can find great deals now that I'm smaller.  I'm holding steady at a size 8 and mediums.  I may not ever get to goal but I don't care I think I look just fine where I am and don't need to be thinner.   I hate to say this but I love the fact that when people see me they think I'm much younger than I am and I could not possibly have a daughter going into college. LOVE THAT!!!!

Bottomline I LOVE MY RNY!!!!!

Thank you and the reason that it has worked is cause I have made a lifestyle change.  I no longer look at food as comfort or part of a social event.  I have also been exercising...granted here lately not as much as I should have...but I'm changing that to since I am about to be an empty nester!  I am still running 6 miles about 3 days a week...and I have a couple of marathons that I am planning on participating in this fall...so time now to train.

Heidi...my journey has been absolutely amazing....I am now learning who I am again other than mom.  Yes...there have been ups and downs and those damn mind tricks...but all and all so worth it to be healthy and feel normal.   PLUS shopping straight from a rack of fitted and smaller clothes AMAZING!!!!

Best of luck to you!!!!

Awesome job!  and you look better than fine.  So great to hear that you have embraced life style changes and have goals that are health and fitness related as opposed to a number on a scale.
