Sick of being fat!
I'm so sick of being fat and unhealthy and uncomfortable.... Just to give you a bit of back ground information. I had Realize Band surgery November 2009 and now I'm going through all the hoops to submit for approval to revise to RNY. I had very little success with the band and once I started to have fluid added to the band I started to have nothing but trouble. Stuck episodes, gurgling and not being able to eat solid protein. I'm always uncomfortable or in pain where the band and port are.
Sick and tired of being fat!
I want my insurance to approve me and I want to have the revision but I am so scared of it not working.... I feel like a failure with the band and I am worried I will be a failure with the bypass surgery too.
Anyone else feel like that?

Been in your shoes. I had my band in 2008 and revised this April. I am afraid of failing but thinking like that is just setting me up for that to happen. I'm doing great so far and would do it again tomorrow! I love my new bypass. You will do fine.

I love my new life!!!
I'm sick of being fat too! My revision to RNY is August 22nd. I'm SO scared, but at the same time, I can't live in this hugely fat body any more. I'm miserable. I don't even look like myself any more. I had the old VBG surgery back in 1989 which was fairly successful, however, 3 years ago my ex gastroenterologist did an endoscopy on me and messed something up.
I hope and pray your insurance approves you and I'm sure you will be successful as long as you remember the surgery is only a tool and not a magic pill. ( I wish there was a magic pill we could take).
God bless you!
