My biggest problem...

Is that I am now such a small size (getting into a 10) that I have no "thin clothes" left in my closet that really fit!  This is my biggest problem....I'll take it!  Going out with friends on Tuesday after work for some jeans shopping.  We get to wear jeans 2x's a week this school year, so I need me a few pairs of those!

Today I was hanging with a very good friend who has known me for years.  I showed her my "before"  pictures and she was shocked.  It is funny how people who see you everyday don't really notice what you have accomplished until they see it side by side.  I guess I didn't see it as much either until I really took the time to look.

I know I have waived back and fourth with my regrets and worries and ups and downs, and I'm not saying my regrets are over, I hope they are, but I am saying that today, at least for today, I am happy with my decision.

Thanks for letting me share!

Lisa, wavering back and forth between regret and joy is a perfectly natural human response to all the changes that you are experiencing.  I think the farther out you get, and the more this new way of life become your "norm", the less you are going to experience those wavering regrets. Then you'll be able to concentrate all your time on shopping for new "thin clothes".

Jim, go tell your wife she is a lucky woman to have you as a husband!  I am so lucky to just have you for support....TY, you always have the nicest things to say and you say them in ways that really make me feel better.  But I bet that is all because we are both from Jersey!  Well, me a long time ago....

Thanks again Jim!

The good news is there are tons of your size at second hand stores and goodwill. You are still losing weight so you won't be a 10 for long.
Have fun shopping

Even though its a pain in the butt to always have to find clothes that fit us in the back of our mind we are jumping for joy that our old clothes dont fit anymore. Good job on those size tens. And yes it is weird how the people around you don't notice as much the weight you are losing but people that you see only once in a while notice big time. That happened to me today. I was at Wal-mart and I seen one of my co-workers who I haven't seen since May ( I drive a school bus) and he was like holy cow you have lost alot of weight. It makes you feel good though...

Lisa, you are doing so good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I actually told your story to a co-worker the other day where you said that your co-workers/students could not figure out what is going on with you and asked if you did something different with your hair.  LOL, I thought that it was hilarious.  Same things are happening to me.  Have fun jean shopping, girl, what a fun thing to do......can't wait to be where you are.  You know, I don't see when your surgery date was. (Sorry, if I am missing something).  You are doing GREAT!!!!

OMG!  Thank you!  What a nice thing to say and to remember me!  I had surgery on May 2, 2011 and I have been trying to figure out how to post that forever!  I have it listed in my info!  LOL

You are doing great too....i see your big losses!  I started at a lower weight at the time of surgery as I had taken off 30 or so lbs on my own the year before surgery.  I am also pretty tall and have always "hid" my weight well.  Even now people ask how much more weight I want to loss, I tell them 40 more lbs and they freak!  But trust me, it's there!

Size 10 is awesome!  And so is getting to wear jeans 2xs a week!  I'm not sure which I am more envious of.
