Are you allowed protein drinks.  They really helped me and seemed to keep the hunger away.  Also, Campbells chicken broth is pretty good!

It will be over before you know it and you'll be on your way to better health and happiness, guaranteed!

Tomorrow is my clear liquids and bowel prep..woo frekin hoomy surgery is the 10th as well and I am so excited but a tad bit nervous as well. I wonder if we can have things like the slim fast drinks. The three weeks of post op liquid is going to be challenging ahhhhhhhh

I am on my 2 week pre-op plan also, my date is the 10th too, I was wondering where you are having your surgery done? I am on a different 2 week diet liquid but not "clear" liquids and I do not have to do the bowel cleansing. I am hungry at times but the protein drinks really help.

I just picked up my food from my surgeon's office for my 2-week pre-op diet (surgery is Aug. 29).  I have six per day--one serving of either chili or chicken noodle soup, two bars, three protein shakes.  Nothing else, no variation, no substitutes.  About 600 calories a day.  They haven't said anything yet about bowel prep...yikes!  Hope that's not coming as a surprise.  I guess all the surgeons do it differently.  Mine requires an endoscopy, though--I have mine on the 16th.

I am also on a two week liquid diet, which started last Friday! Suprisingly it hasn't been as hard as I thought it would be. I stuggle with getting a full six shakes in, but I have no problem drinking at least 64 ounces of water...since I've been on the Optifast I've been drinking around 12 glasses a day. Before starting the plan I was really scared that I wouldn't be able to handle not eating any "real" food, but it's going much smoother than I could have imagined! Good luck with your surgery on Wednesday and celebrate the fact that you only have to do this for three days lol!! Sending positive vibes out to everyone and for those having surgery on Wednesday good luck!!

That pre-op diet is rough! Just have the chicken bouillion for lunch and dinner, and have as many sugar free popcicles as you want (if your surgeon allows it). And it helps to get a routine going on each day. Just know that if you can make it through that, you can do anything! Good luck, and congrats on making a wonderful life changing decision!!

I am just finishing up the 3 day liquid diet (surgery in the morning), and day two was by far the worst day!  But thankfully I made it through and you will too.  Just know, day three was far more tolerable than day two!    I just kept telling myself on Saturday "okay, 1/3 of the way there", Sunday "2/3 of the way there" etc.  You can do this!
