So when does the weight loss STOP? 6Months Post op
It stops when you begin to take in as many calories as you burn.
Most people lose for longer than six months, but if you increase your calories so that you are taking in as many calories as you burn, the weight loss should stop.

welcome to the club... we had the same goal weight and im WAAAYY below goal at 123 at a year post op. I try and eat something almost every hour. Although small like a sliver of cake or quiche or even mini candies... I still cant do much to stop it for now. My dr mentioned that really within the first 18 months aint much I can do. I BEEN stopped exercising as well.

- This is what I do:
- *18 Months after surgery (or when goal weight is reached before 18 months): Maintenance calories (BMR & Activity Level) **Malabsorption of calories lasts approximately 18 months
- ***I now eat 1550 calories a day since 16 months and my activity level is Sedentary
- ****My Activity Level is Sedentary because I do not do a formal exercise program due to Osteoarthritis and Rheumatoid Arthritis
