So I've been cleaning out my closet for the past few days...

What an emotional ride - nothing fits!!  I've got boxes of stuff that was too small (lots with tags still on) that I've been hanging on to just incase I ever lost weight and would fit into again... NOPE, missed that window of opportunity - too big!!!

Some of the items just brought tears to my eyes... I can't believe I was ever "that-big" some of the work staples I had hanging in the closet were all stretched out and frumpy but I wore them every week...

I'm so happy with my transition to healthy and greatful I'm able to wear cute clothes that fit but wow I didn't realize it was going to have such an impact!!!

Keep at least a couple things to remind you how "that-big" really looks.... so you can have a photo of yourself in one pant leg of your old clothes!!

I just finished doing the same. Enjoy every moment. When I tried some of the stuff on, I also felt teary. I miss some of my old clothes. But I never want to see them again. Once they're gone, you will know that you will NEVER EVER see them on your body again. That's awesome!

think of how emotional.. HAPPY EMOTIONAL you will be at goal when you can fill that closet back up!!!!!!!!!  I loved emptying my closet.. it sucks having nothing to wear but I know it's short term and I'm so excited to get to buy clothes I love and not just clothes that I had to settle for  because they fit!!!!!

I have been seeing this post, or this topic for a post, quite a bit recently.  I think it is a message from fate to do the same thing to my closet ASAP.  I too have now under grown all the cloths in my closet and I don't know why I am hanging on to any of it.

I bought jeans last week, LAST WEEK, and I put them on today and they are already getting too big!  I'm glad I am losing so great right now, but really!  I have to have SOMETHING to wear to work!  I guess my next purchase is a belt!

I also remember going through this process; however, what brought the tears to my eyes was that even when I was obese I liked beautiful clothes and had a pretty nice wardrobe that was, oh let's just say a wee bit costly.  Walking all that money out the door was difficult, but oh so worth the pay off.  LoL

Congratulations on your smaller you!!!

After I lost my first 100, my reward to myself was a closet remodel. I tore out everything in my closet, painted it, and installed a ClosetMaid system (I'm a handy gal). It's so pretty!! I love it! In doing so, I packed up all the clothes that were too big and donated them. I was unable, emotionally, to get rid of them before then. But there was no way they were going back into my pretty closet. Hang in there. It gets better!!
