I just take it in pill form. Perhaps you could do that until they receive more product.

I was told that due to malabsorbtion the pill form is useless

A pill that you swallow is useless, not because of malabsorption but because you don't have enough intrinsic factor in your pouch. You need that intrinsic factor to absorb B12 that you swallow.

A sublingual, though, the tablet you dissolve under your tongue, works just fine.

Yes, there has been a shortage of Vitamin B12 Injections Nation Wide because of some issues with the manufacturer. Ask your doctor if they can give you an Rx for it to see if you can find it at a local pharmacy and bring it back so they can adm inister it.

If getting an Rx for the injection so you can "shop around" is not possible, then try to start on a Sublingual B12 (they also have Nasal Spray) daily until they can provide the injection.

Yep it is all over. Get a script and see if you can get it filled. that is what I do. I had to shop around to find it. Got mine at Target.

Ah, so this explains the difficulty I had getting my script filled a couple of days ago- I had to talk to the pharmacist directly.
