Swallow or chew?

Agreed!  Horrible!  I am still trying to take the last of my chewable vits and as I replace them it is swallow kind only.  The taste and the texture is just horrible and nasty.  So is protein shakes but I get over that by telling myself its not forever.  Well I can't say that with the vitamins, they are forever so I need to have a good relationship with them!

I am waiting for same thing especially the crushed pills of my regular meds. My wife does this for me every morning

The other day I had a UP Cal D and Valium protein shake.  The valiumn isnt bad crushed, I can almost just chew them, but my other regular medicine is so gross.

As long as they do NOT have a stomach protective coating or are in capsule or gelcap form, you should be fine.

We can swallow capsules.  Capsules are made from gelatin and dissolve easily.

I think when you say gelcaps, you're referring to softgels, those things shaped like footballs with oily stuff inside?  Those won't hurt us if we take them but we may not absorb all the medicine in them because we malabsorb fats and so we won't absorb all the medicine in the oily stuff.
