apparently I totally lost my mind while buying groceries today. I bought a box of bakery cookies. They were little (about the size of a vanilla wafer) soft sugar cookies with sprinkles. So, I'm thinking to myself, these would be great for a little sweet after lunch. NOT! i came home and put away the groceries, ate a cookie. took the dog for a walk, ate a cookie. picked up around the house, ate a cookie. get the picture?? Obvioulsy I can't be trusted to even have them in the house, cause I have NO willpower. When It was time to to to my staff meeting for work, i loaded those babies up and put them in the breakroom. Bye-Bye cookies!! Oh well, at least I realized there was a problem before I demolished the entire package. LOL

Congratulations!! The fact that you recognized that, at this point in time, cookies are dangerous and then took action is powerful and empowering. Knowing what your triggers are and managing them is one of the biggest factors in maintaining long term success.

Yep... that is exactly the reason that I cannot have cookies in the house (except for RF Nilla Wafers)... I have NO self-control.  I can eat just 6 M&Ms or about 1/4-1/3 C real ice cream and be satisfied, but not cookies... it has been 4 years since my surgery I still just cannot be trusted with them!  (I buy Girl Scout cookies and my mom keeps them in her freezer so I can only have one or two wehn I am at her house!)
