I had some oatmeal for breakfast and re fried beans with a little cheddar cheese on top for lunch!!  WOWWWWWWWWWWW....was  nice to chew again :-)  Ate very little of it, but everyday I will see how it goes. The feeling of normalcy is awesome!!!!  Have had a protein shake and so much fluid already, I feel very saisfied. I plan on adding a little at a time and hoping I stay feeling this GOOD!!!!  Hope all are ready for this Hurricane

Sounds great, I'll be so glad to feel "normal" again.

Do you still or did you have bad gas pain when you came home?

I can not wait for the pured phase.  I would love some texture to my food right now.  But that being said i can bearly eat the jello or ice pops. and drinking water is a pain so I guess it is a good thing that I am stuck here for 3 more days.  but yogurt here I come.  (greek that is)

Also gabby, i am a lot like you. Not crazy abou****er so i am drinking mostly peach propel zero with some water. I am not crazy about broth either but the hospital had some awesome stuff and eating SF jello. just keep taking it day to day.

My surgery was on August 8th and I can not wait to put something with some flavor in my mouth.  My 2nd post op is on Tuesday.  I sure hope I can eat.

Yummers! I have a while to go before I eat, but I'm satisfied with my liquids for now, that being said, this is only day 9 post-op, so ask me again at the end of my six weeks, I may be nawing on the table leg for something different!!! Glad you are doing so well and the new variety set well with your belly! Happy days!!!

You have to be on liquids for six weeks?  My doctor released me at seven weeks(which was Thursday)  to eat any foods I wanted to eat.
