I am two weks out and I know that is early, but how long does it take to be able to eat more than 5 bites?  I am full on 5 bites of food, so I have to eat 4 or 5 times a day to get in what I need.  Well, one of those is a protien shake. I am really liking cheese, low fat of course, but all kinds. I had a scrambled egg for diiner and I added cottage cheese....YUMMO!!!  I am lucky right now eggs are good to me.

I am nine months out and usually eat 6 times a day. One is a protein coffee and the rest are small meals/snacks...maybe 3/4 of a cup each.

I find when I eat 3 meals per day, with snacks in-between if needed, I am much more successful controlling my hunger and calories allocation.  I find when I eat fewer meals my hunger can get a little out of control.

I'm about 3 years post-op. Right now I'm eating about 10 times a day because I'm recovering from plastics and my body needs lots of fuel, but before that I was eating 6-7 times a day. 3 fairly normal sized meals and 3-4 planned snacks. Doing this has helped me maintain my weight for about 2 years now.
