diet after a stricture...

i am 4 weeksout today and have to go in for a stricture tomorrow. i wanted to know will i have to be in a liquid diet after a Stricture or do i go back to the diet i was on, which was a pureed?

I just had my 2nd stricture dilated today. My doctor told me to do a liquid diet for the rest of the day and the next couples of days do soft foods (cottage cheese, yogurt).

Depends. I think it is usually a day or two on liquids or at least full liquids. I had to have 5 of them so I was on full liquids a lot longer esp by the 5th one. You will feel so much better after having it done. I couldn't eat anything without vomiting before I had it done. The problem is that you might have to have more than one. Some people have to have one or two, some have to have more than that. i had to have one almost every two weeks until it stayed open.

I have had 3 and never had any dietary restrictions.
I only felt like liquids on the day of so that's what I did.

I don't want to sound stupid, but here goes.  What is a stricture?
