Question for people more then 4 months out
Since I hate, hate, super hate protein shakes and I am trying to get off of them, I was just wondering how people who were 4 to 8 months out were counting their protein and making sure they go enough WITH OUT the constant use of shakes as supplements.
I usually eat a protein bar for breakfast, those I can handle.
If you measure your 3 oz then log it you will know how much protein is in what you are eating. I can tell you after a day or two of logging I know just by looking at my food how much I am getting in.
Today I got in 107 grams of protein but I had an isopure (40) but without it I still would have made my docs 50-70 daily goal.

Isn't there a magic way of doing this! LOL that is that I am looking for......
To figure it out when you don't eat a whole serving, though, you just have to do a little math. I stink at math but I can usually figure it out so I'm sure anyone else could too. If the label on something says a serving is one cup and I only eat half a cup, I just divide the protein grams listed on the label in two. If a whole serving is ten grams of protein and I only eat half a serving, I got five grams. If I only eat 1/4 cup, that's 1/4 serving so I only got 2.5 grams.
If it's a food that doesn't have a label, you can just google it to find out how much protein it has.

Also calorieking.com is a great place to look up protein and other info on something you ate.
