I Did It Again

You would think I would learn.  Several months ago I found out I dumped because I had picked up a bottle of Torani Syrup and didn't look closely and it turned out to have sugar instead of the sugar free.
So you would think I would be more careful.
Last night I had some protein pudding which I make with milk, pudding mix and a scoop of unflavored whey isolate.  Not long afterwards I got sick as a dog.  Couldn't figure out why since I have had the protein pudding many times without a problem.
I went to make it tonight and for some reason I decided to look at the ingredients and there it was, sugar.  I bought the regular kind again.  Never even thought to check that out since I am usually so good about that but I got the Walmart generic brand and the boxes do look a lot alike.
Let me tell you, dumping doesn't get any better the second time around.

I'm a slow learner myself. I do hate dumping, and I am grateful for it.

Torani SF labels are blue,  regular are red.

Label Reading 101--read the entire label.  If you need glasses to read, bring them to the market.  There is no law requiring branded products to have identical placement of nutritional data, just somewhere on the package.  My wife did me a favor and thought she got some SF pudding for me.  NOT, it said instant, but had sugar. So I had to take a sharpie and mark the box in large print, NOT SF.  DAVE

Was it the Great Value brand at Walmart?  I have both boxes here and they look very much alike.

Any brand would require you to do the exact same thing--READ the label carefully.  I happen to prefer the Jello brand, and their boxes look similar too. DAVE

I almost got hit with not reading labels this weekend.  Was drinking the last bottle of G2 sipping it over time and not just downing as fast as I could.  My 7 year old points out that it doesn't say Low calorie.

Had I drank it at my normal rate I would have been sick all day at 16g of sugar per servering and 2.5 servings per bottle.
