MIO makes a Sweet Tea flavor that is AWESOME. It tastes just like the sweet tea from a restaurant. Look for it near the Crystal light section of the grocery store. It comes in a tiny, little squirt bottle. You just add a little squirt to your ice water. You control how strong or how weak it is. It has really helped me get my fluids in!
What kind of decaf tea are you using? I agree the decaf Lipton tastes a bit different (it's a pekoe tea). I found some decaf English Breakfast (strong black tea) over the weekend at Trader Joes, and it tastes the same to me. Maybe try a different decaf tea? I live on iced tea...lemon is good in it for me, but no sweetness - YUCK! I need it brisk! :)
Caffeine adds to dehydration.. and it interferes with the absorbtion of some nutrients...
.they tried to take mine and I told them "don't even think about it" .
..the only three things I drink...are
regular coffee, regular tea and water...
no other juices, no milk or milk products, except the few ounces of lactose free milk I add to my coffee..... .I just don't tolerate much milk of any kind.& .no fruit juices of any kind...I drink 4 cups of coffee average daily and the rest is usually water /gatorade..but i do drink tea, with nothing in it... just not often.
. I have begun to make my own gatorade with unsweetened koolaid and splenda and sea salt..
. to change the water you can try squeezing the juice of a lemon or orange into it...
