I am Super exited, so I just had to share. I reached my surgeons goal ( of 160 lbs.)at 3 months, PLUS I am 4 lbs. from reaching my goal of 150 lbs, which will give me a BMI of 25, which is in the normal range!!! I am still only 4 months out and I am fairly small boned so I am exited to see where I will end up! I am thinking I need to set some new goals. In case anybodys wondering I am 5'5 and started out at 233 lbs (Highest ever was 260 lbs), I am now 154 lbs and still losing steady.

ok wait a second here...you're telling me that in 3 mths you've lost 79 lbs??? How is that remotely possible? I'm 5'6" and surgery day I weight 235 and in 9 weeks I've lost 24 !#$%!  lbs!!!! Like me, you're considered a light weight but and average of 26 lbs a month?? Did you lose any weight before surgery? What about exercise?

I feel like crap now...although I AM happy for you :)

Actually in 4 months I have lost 79 lbs. In 3 months I had just passed my surgeons goal of 160. I am sorry I didn't mean to make you feel bad, I was just exited at how far Ive come. Everyone loses at their own pace. I think I just have responded real well to the surgery. I have not hit any stalls yet either. I don't exercize either ( i know, bad me ). I have just been following my surgeons reccomendations of three 1/2 cup meals a day ( or less I stop when I am full), no snacking. All I have been eating is protien and vegetables. No fruits and as little carbs as possible. I have swore off any sugary foods, bread, rice, pasta, potatoes, and corn, for at least my first year ( i know I don't respond well to these food because I was a diabetic prior to surgery). All my beverages are10 calories or less ( mostly water and Brisks sugar free lemonade). If I am hungry I just eat sugar free popscicles. I also weight myself every day. I know we arent supposed to, but I honestly don't care, certain foods make me gain weight faster and I am trying to monitor closely because everyone says the first 6 months are vital. Plus I am very OCD and it would drive me crazy not weighing myself everyday. I am religious about taking my vitamins. I also take probiotics ( specifically Florastor ) because they help keep you regular and their have been studies that have shown that gastric bypass patients that take them have better weight loss results. Yes, I lost weight before surgery. During the 2 week liquid diet. My heighest weight was 260.

If I were you I would be jumping up and down and telling anyone who'd listen. Don't get me wrong, I am happy you're doing so well besides the couple issues you've had. I'm blessed to say I haven't had any problems, no throwing up but I've experienced dumping a few times. I'm jealous! ok I said it! LOL After I read your post I created a spreadsheet with all my weight loss info and I'm averaging about 15 lbs a month although this month is a little slower at the moment. I had lost almost 40 lbs on my own pre op and was averaging 11 lbs a month so my expectations with the surgery were high I guess but I can only do what I do and see what happens.
