Shirts for under the binder--genius!! So glad I asked about this. I do have binders from my bypass. Wondering if it the type they recommend. Good news is that if so, I'll have to cut off about a foot of fabric from those binders!!

Thanks!

I lived in A line dresses the first 6 weeks...

as for binders,  my doc gave me the bra and the girdle.. and as I went down in size they kept giving me new ones smaller ones.... eventually I was wearing the ones from Walmart... the triple panels.  even to sleep for the first 6 weeks....

EAS Myoplex are some good RTD shakes.  I also like the new Detour shakes.

I didn't do any special "prep" for any of my plastic surgeries other than having easy to fix, high protein foods (and shakes) in the house for afterward, and I didn't really NEED anything special.  Getting up and down was difficult, of course, but not any different than after my open RNY or hernia repair and I didn't buy anything special.  I did sleep in my LaZBoy for a couple of weeks, though, because it was much more comfortable than sleeping in bed propped on pillows.

I like the Oh Yeah chocolate RTD and the Cytomax protein waters (available in tangerine, watermelon (which tastes like fruit punch more than watermelon), and tropical (which is bright green and tastes a bit like an apple/pear mixture with a hint of coconut)) are my favorites.  I think the Cytomax doesn't have the nasty aftertaste that the Isopure protein waters have, but Kelly disagrees, LOL.  Mostly, I just mix unflavored or vanilla protein powder into SF hot chocolate in the morning for breakfast rather than having a spearate shake

We just finished rearranging the living room to accomodate my LaZBoy. It was a lifesaver during my recovery from bypass. I've never had any open abdominal work, so this will be a whole new level of pain for me, I'm sure. I'm trying to think positive, but I want to go in with my eyes open and not delude myself that this is going to be a cake walk.

My food prep will mostly be for the kiddos. Don't want them starving to death because mommy got boobs!! LOL!

Thanks!
