We "can't" have that food...

With the right life style changes you can eat pretty much what you want at the right times.

Last night I had a nice Frozen yogurt with cashews and tons of whipped cream and a lice of pizza, then I woke up this morning and ran 13.5 miles which had about a 3000 calorie burn.  Had I had chicken and veg for dinner I know I wouldn't have had the gas for a strong run.  The best part is the Pizza and Fro-yo fit my calorie goals for yesterday and today I have about 4500 calories I can play with if I want.

My lifestyle changes that allow me this are a healthy diet and lots of exercise.  People look at exercise simply as a way to burn calories rather than a positive life change that will give the more freedom in the diet.

Yes my Surgeon and Nut know how I eat in fact my NUT got on me for eating to few carbs for my routine.

For the program I am on through my surgeons office, You can't have starchy carbs until you are 6 months out.  So when I say I can't have that yet, I really can't have it yet.

But you could have it if you chose to do so.  Your surgeon and his staff cannot stop you.  You are choosing to follow their advice, which is probably wise, but it's your choice.  They aren't they ones putting food on your plate.

It bugs me when people say that too.  Oh, my doctor won't let me eat salad yet.  My nut doesn't allow us to eat popcorn.  What do you mean?  How are they stopping you?

I am NOT saying people should not following the advice of their health care providers.  But health care providers give us advice, they don't control what we do.  The choice to follow their advice or not is ours.

I think taking control of our food (and the rest of our lives) is very important.
