"Heartbroken" update.

I got a call today around 1:30pm from my caseworker. One of the people I talked to yesterday was the one I should have talked to 2 weeks ago, apparently, because she came in this morning and actually worked. She called me to let me know she processed my paperwork this morning and that it will take 24 hrs to show up as active in the computer system at DHS and a couple more days to show up as active in any provider's computer.

WHEW! I have coverage.

I immediately went down to my surgeons office and told the ladies there I have coverage again. They are going to wait until Thursday to try and call the HMO plan I have coverage under to verify that it's active again. Hopefully it will show up by then. Assuming it does show up then, I should have a new date by the end of the week .

From the way they were talking it's looking like it will probably be 9/27, but after yesterday, I'm hesitant to get my hopes up. I will let you all know as soon as I know something! Thank you for all the responses, love, and encouragement yesterday! I really appreciated it!

Well, at least it's getting taken care of now.  Hopefully you will be joining us on the loser's bench by the end of this month.

I'm glad something finally got done today. At least I didn't have to wait weeks more for my paperwork to go through!

I'm really hoping to have this done before the end of the month, too!

Thank you, Kelly :)

Glad that it was just a slight bump in the road instead of a major detour!  In 6 months you won;t even remember the delay!

Thanks, Lora! I'm glad it's starting to get worked out quickly! More good news is my pre-authorization is still good, so they won't have to resubmit my paperwork. All they have to do is verify my coverage and get me a new date! Really a few more weeks is nothing. I'd wait til Christmas or beyond if I had to.

Nothing worth having comes easy. Right?
