Every once in a while it is good for the new people to see pictures to give them something to help them get through the rough early days when it seems like a lot of work for little results.

The before is from 2002, before my first WLS.  The after was today.

I'll have to wait to post some during or after pics till I get further down the road. I had my husband take some before pics taken the day I was leaving the hospital after surgery. Man, these are the most hideous and embarrassing pics ever. First, no makeup (which does NOT happen!), second, you could see I was feeling miserable (still do some days) and three, I was HUGE!!!!!!

So, I can't put up any before pics unti I have some decent during and after pics, it's just too embarrassing for me!

PS, you have lost so much weight, you are so tiny now!

Hey (kinda) surgery buddy.  We are the same amount out, and lost about the same amount of weight!  GO YOU!  Kinda doesn't feel real at all.  How are you doing?

Hello there my "kinda" surgery buddy! I'm doing ok. I have been SOOOO tired today. I am still sleeping on my recliner because every time I try to sleep in my bed, it hurts my stomach. My back is aching from sleeping sitting up so much, I'm really sick of it!

The weight loss is great and in fact more than I expected. My surgeon told me that revisions do not lose as quickly as first timers, so I am surprised. But haven't done a whole lot of "celebrating" about it because I just truly don't feel that great yet.

Some folks here said that they did not feel back to normal for like 2 or 3 months, so I hope that's all it is. I'm an impatient soul and really don't enjoy all this feeling bad stuff!

How are you feeling? If it's not too nosy, how old are you? I'm 53 so us older folks take a little longer to heal too, on top of everything else! lol

Hope you are doing well!! Keep in touch!

I've been totally alright, just hanging around the house often... I have 2 little ones under 3 (I'm almost 22) and so we're being homebodies for awhile, until my husband comes home.  I can't wait until the 6 week mark when I can work out, I'm sick of the walking to be honest.

I can't believe I've lost 30 pounds in 3 weeks, it freaks me out, but I still feel like crap, look like crap.  Everyone around me is noticing but I still feel... ugly?  Who knows.

And yeah we will def keep in touch... what stage of your diet are you on?  I've been on purees since week 2 but next week my dr says ANYTHING goes... (within limits ya know?), even salad, but I've been scared to eat so we will see what I'm comfortable with.

Before weighing in at 295.

And after at around 175.  I wrapped a hotel towel around me the day this was taken.  Almost cried.
