fiber...
Alright, i have been reading Nik's posts on carbs today and remembered i have had a question about fiber. I am 7 weeks out and just wondering if anyone uses Fiber Choice? It is basically sugar free and eating two a day gives you 4 g of fiber. We are suppose to be getting lots more than that and right now i don't just have the room but hope to eventually start eating carbs that are high in fiber such as sweet potatoes, bananas (i can eat both of these now), but whole grain breads etc...
By the way i read to read labels because whole wheat doesn't mean a whole bunch but generally WHOLE GRAIN is what you want to look for on labels. Something like low fat and no fat or fat free. Read your labels.
So my question..does anyone use the Fiber Choice tablets? I used to eat them all the time and they are good. But i wonder if they are safe right now for me? I can't see how they would hurt but fiber works to coat the stomach to curb eating and then of course coat the intestines to get rid of waste. i don't have a stomach and would this work the same way with the pouch? Or metamucil seems to have several forms of fiber. I haven't looked much into Metamucil because as a little girl i swear i remember my grandma using that but my grandma was old...like i thing 300 when i was little..sure i am a grandma too but i am not even 50 yet. lol
Let me know...thanks...

I take a huge amount of benefiber daily and eat veggies with my meals 3-4x a day, usually beans or greens, tonight peppers, onions, tomatoes. I think it helps. Metamucil can cause gas so be careful with that. the benefiber is oderless, tasteless, dissolves completly and you never know it is there.

How about Fiber Choice? They are like my multivitamins..good and tasty and sugar free. 2 a day equals 4 g of fiber. I will eat (and do already) vegies even though its just a little bit. Spag. squash, cauliflower, onions, green beans, mashed rutabegas, some potatoes occassionally and i can't wait to eat whole grain breads. Found multigrain Fiber Choice has 7 g. of fiber and less than 3 sugars a slice
