What to do about Thanksgiving?

So last year I ate like a bird for thanksgiving and followed the rules protein first blah blah blah. I really didn't like it much granted I was just coming off my second Ulcer so wasn't really enjoying much of anything.

So this year I am going to have the Turkey Feast and not feel the slightest bit guilty.  Thats right Turkey stuffing and Mashed potatos guilt free!  After all I will have earned it as I am running my second Half Marathon that morning and will have earned ever last bite plus some!

A lot of cities have some type of Turkey day event such as a 5K fun run/walk so why not get out and enjoy something before eating!

Agree with Paul. He and I will be side by side running in the Turkey Day Half Marathon. We will have trained hard and deserve the taste of a nice cooked meal.

Last year at Christmas I weighed 330 lbs. Had my surgery 12/21/2010, and today my weight is 191 lbs. If you get up and get moving, and become an athlete. You will need the extra calories. The key: You gotta move and a lot.

Enjoy your thanksgiving day, I know I will.

Jay

I feel the same way!  I will make sure my 45 mintues of cardio is done that AM and probably take a walk after eating.  My strategy is a 'bite' of everything I like.  It still does not take much to feel me up, so the damage wont be too bad!  Plus I love dry white meat turkey with no gravy!

LOL - I meant "fill" me up - I have lost a lot a weight so it does not take much to 'feel'
me up either!

Definitely will partake of the Thanksgiving meal.  As always I focus on the protein first then a couple of bites of the various other trimmings, even dessert.

Turkey! yeah!.but it can't be dry.....and all the trimmings. I always have to choose, because there is too much to try everything...this year it is to be guacamole! since we're planning a trip to see family in the sw.
