Ok guys im officially scared of dumping. I haven't had it yet (i think) but im gonna police my food (very carefully) especially outside, to avoid it.

dori - Being careful is good..  And you're right.. when you are eating outside your home sometimes something is in the food that we don't know about.  I can't eat at PF Changs for that reason.  Pretty much everything I have ever eaten there has made me dump..  It does suck for a brief window in time but you'll be fine.. Don't stress out about it too much..

Mine is gettin better, but I still get the "droopy, drooly, sleepy mess" feeling if I eat too many carbs or fat. My mother, who is 28 yrs post op, still gets that way after too many carbs or fat as well. We call it our carb coma. We just need a little nap after we eat that stuff. But, like you said, I'd take this over my size 22/24's any day!

28 years? Wow.. that is fabulous.    My cohost on BariatricTV is also in a family of WLS peeps.  Her mom had surgery years and years ago.. she had surgery  7 years ago and her daughter had surgery a few months ago..  Something to be said for genetics..

I figure that the dumping is pretty much just doing it's job, as advertised, to keep my butt out of those size 24s I used to wear..  It sucks when it happens but it doesn't happen that much cuz I try hard to keep it from happening... which is good !  :-)

This just happened to me tonight, after eating dinner, I laid down on the couch and was basically narcaleptic for about an hour! My hubby just kept asking if it was something I ate (he thought I wasn't feeling well)... I think it might have been the carb I chose..I had four very small triangles of a tortilla. Won't be doing that again.

It definitely hits ya fast..  I remember my husband and my daughter being a little freaked out the first time it happened to me, too..   Sorry you felt like crap for a little while.. the good news is that it goes away after a little nap and then we try REALLY HARD to not experience it again!  :-)
