I hate the holidays
We had a Thanksgiving Luncheon at work today and boy did I eat toooo much (too many carbs and not enough protein). I wish I already had my surgery so I wouldn't have been able to eat so much. Oh well. I guess I will have to go to the gym and work out some extra, even though I have been to the gym three days already but I try to get there five days a week.
I hope to hear something from my doctor soon and hopefully I can get the surgery done before Jan 1 so I don't have to pay my deductible again. If I don't talk to you all, have a Very Happy Thanksgiving and don't shop too much on Friday.

You know Wanda, I think this is a good example of how we can only use the bypass as a "tool." I can eat way more than I'm supposed to and so I have to follow the rules and make good choices. Sounds like your choice was to eat and then go to the gym- not a bad compromise and one that many people make. I guess I just want to warn you that for some people eating is still an issue and you have to work at it. I'm not trying to dissuade you just give you a little reality because if I want to overeat I can- I just choose (most of the time) not to. I'll look forward to hearing how things go once you're on the other side of things. It's a crazy ride! Good luck.
I agree. I can still do damage. Couldn't so much my first year but now...yeah. It COULD get ugly but it won't. I like how I feel when I leave a meal having eaten only as much as I am supposed to. I'm proud of myself and that feels good!
