So today I've logged 1320 calories, 84 grams protein and 72 ounces liquid.  I may eat something else small before bed.  And I've  had all my vites except I missed a dose of calcium - gotta work on that.

Well, I was ok tracking until after dinner. I had 1338 calories and 106g of protein, all my vitamins and 9 cups of fluid, but that doesn't count the extra almond slices, some small bites of brownie (I made tonight for my to celebrate my son's play at school), and the challah I had (homemade and fresh out of the oven). But I also did 5 miles on my elliptical and took a mile long walk.

I'm just not too good at tracking, I guess. Got to work on it.

I was a little food shy after last night, but even so, I ate TERRIBLY today.

I managed 620 calories and only 46g of protein.  I ingested much too much fat today (due to the cream in my coffee).

I did take my vitamins.. all except my calcium.  *sigh*  Tomorrow is another day.

671 calories...54 grams of protein..not my normal btw and about 56 oz. of liquid...  normally i get my protein in and then some but i was really super busy today at work, then a swing dance (i don't dance) where my daughter played with the jazz band and then getting home late and not wanting to eat anymore so late in the night..tomorrow is a different story though..

When I first read this thread, I thought "Umm.. well, maybe I won't participate afterall"

I thought I had a pretty good day yesterday, but still ended up around 1900 calories.  The last three days I've been actually working out and I've been more hungry.  Two days ago, I ate too much, was emotional, and thought I was hungrier.. and because I wasn't actively logging my food that day I consumed 2400 calories.  So the fact that I cut it by 500 calories I thought was awesome.  I also know that there are vets out there that routinely eat 2000 calories a day -- so why am I sitting here trying to convince myself that I need to just focus on ME, my needs -- and not compare myself to everyone else.  And yet.. I recognize that I can improve on my choices and afterall, that's why we're logging.. to evaluate and adjust if necessary.

Anyway, here's what my day looked like:

Breakfast:  Click
Morning snack: Protein bar
Lunch: 2 flat out ham & cheese sliders & 1 oz cheetos
Afternoon snack: click
dinner: homemade chili
After workout: banana & honey ham
Late night snack: protein bar & 6 doritos

I just made an order from gastric bypass supplements for a bunch of high protein lower calorie snacks that I can have on hand.  Part of the reason I ended up with two protein bars yesterday was because I need to shop and they were easy to grab.  I was also trying to figure out if I truly was as hungry as I thought after working out or if I needed to drink more water.

Now I'm off to shower, maybe go try on some bridesmaid dresses for my sister's wedding, and get some grocery shopping done...

I think that in order for this thread, or this whole tracking thing for that matter, to be effective, it needs to be completely non-judgmental.  It's important that we not judge other people on what they ate or didn't eat, and we can offer advice if someone asks for it, but even that can be done without being judgmental.

And the "non-judgmental" thing needs to apply to our own eating, as well.  We need to accept what we ate, use the information to adjust our diet if necessary, but not use it to judge ourselves as good or bad or right or wrong.

We are gonna see people eating widely different things.  We are all different and all at different points in our journey.
