I'm just not too good at tracking, I guess. Got to work on it.

"Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds." - Albert Einstein
I thought I had a pretty good day yesterday, but still ended up around 1900 calories. The last three days I've been actually working out and I've been more hungry. Two days ago, I ate too much, was emotional, and thought I was hungrier.. and because I wasn't actively logging my food that day I consumed 2400 calories. So the fact that I cut it by 500 calories I thought was awesome. I also know that there are vets out there that routinely eat 2000 calories a day -- so why am I sitting here trying to convince myself that I need to just focus on ME, my needs -- and not compare myself to everyone else. And yet.. I recognize that I can improve on my choices and afterall, that's why we're logging.. to evaluate and adjust if necessary.
Anyway, here's what my day looked like:
Breakfast: Click
Morning snack: Protein bar
Lunch: 2 flat out ham & cheese sliders & 1 oz cheetos
Afternoon snack: click
dinner: homemade chili
After workout: banana & honey ham
Late night snack: protein bar & 6 doritos
I just made an order from gastric bypass supplements for a bunch of high protein lower calorie snacks that I can have on hand. Part of the reason I ended up with two protein bars yesterday was because I need to shop and they were easy to grab. I was also trying to figure out if I truly was as hungry as I thought after working out or if I needed to drink more water.
Now I'm off to shower, maybe go try on some bridesmaid dresses for my sister's wedding, and get some grocery shopping done...
And the "non-judgmental" thing needs to apply to our own eating, as well. We need to accept what we ate, use the information to adjust our diet if necessary, but not use it to judge ourselves as good or bad or right or wrong.
We are gonna see people eating widely different things. We are all different and all at different points in our journey.
