Okay I am way to far away from this but I am curious how many people have had the plastic surgey to remove excess skin after a year or so?   Alot of people have said what are you going to do with all that loose skin when you lose weight?  Its kinda like a slap in the face I would never say that to someone but then I have cooth!  Anyway I am curious how many have had it done? I look at some of the pictures of before and after on this website and think hummmm did they have surgey to look that good or is this just from WLS???

I had a consultation this week and scheduled a breast lift and augmentation, 3/4 belt lift and some lipo for next month.  Scared and excited to get it over with.

After losing over 180 pounds (and being obese for a most of my adult life) I had a LOT of excess skin, so I had my panni removed (and later had a tummy tuck), had a mons lift, and had my arms done. Only the panni removal was covered by insurance. My out of pocket expense was about $15,000 (half of that was the abdominoplasty).

Lora, you look awesome!

Can I ask? Is the panni the lower part of the stomach? How was it able to be covered and when you say you had a tummy tuck, was type (flor de lis)
Im asking because I am at the very beginning of considering ps and not sure to look into the lower belly removal, which im thinking is the panni, and if so, will I regret it and want to have the more invasive flor de lis.
thanks for your help

Yes, the panni removal is just excess skin below the belly button. The problem is that if the panni hangs down far enopugh and causes rash issues insuurance will pay for that but many surgeons are not willing to combine an onsurance covered. Procedure with a self pay one. I had excess skin over the whole bellyn so just the panni removal emphasized the skin higher up. I ended up havinf a "reverse" tummy tuck... I true T shape. Hopefully this is legible... MyBB covers half the OH screen with code garbage so I am typing blind! Lora

Nothing so far.....my tummy is a mess, my legs are saggy, I am down to an A cup and with my "fat pads" gone from my face, I look 10 years older....though I dream about plastics, the reality is that I could not jusitfy spending that kind of money when retirement is looming in a few years and I need to focus on that (I am 50)

I'm 45 so not much younger than you. It was worth the expense to me. If I have to work an extra year or two to feel sane again, so be it!!

I do not plan to have it.  My extra skin is not real pretty but it doesn't bother me that much and is not causing any medical problems.  I was considering a breast lift because they are so saggy now, but that would be strictly about appearance, not any problems they are causing by being saggy.  I decided it's not worth the risk of major surgery just so my boobs will look nice and perky when I'm naked.  They look OK when I am dressed and wearing a decent bra.

I reached my goal recently and I am not considering surgery. It would be nice, but expensive. I look good in clothes, so I just won't go around naked!

I had all mine done in Thailand (I lived in Singapore at the time) - TT, BL/BA, FL - took 11.5 hours - and cost $10k.
