What form of medicine is best for us?
I mean like when we take Tylenol what is the best one to get? They have capsules, tablets, gel caps, extended release, and so many more. I went to Walgreen's just pick up some acetaminophen just in case I need it at some point (all I have in my house now is Ibuprofen and I know that's a no no now) and I was kind of lost on what to get. Any suggestions? The only liquid Tylenol they has was children's so the dosage was very low and I don't know if it had added sugar for the flavoring. Thanks :)
I took the adult Rapid Blast liquid Tylenol early post op but it never worked for me. When I tried the tablets, they never worked either. I've never had luck with tylenol. I would go with the tabs to avoid the sugar if that's an issue for you. I don't dump on sugar so it never bothered me. I just prefer the ease of tabs.
Anything but extended release. Doesn't matter if it's liquid or pills. But do watch the sugar in many liquids.

Nothing enteric coated ! which means it will dissolve in the intestines. We want it to be obsorbed in our pouch. I always check with the pharmasist. Now that I can swallow pills 4 years out, I still get a rapid release tylenol. You probably know this already but no NSAID medications, like Advil - Ibruprofen are to be used by us EVER. No ASA....no anti-imflamatories at all.
Nothing gets absorbed in our pouch. Things get absorbed in our small intestine.
And no NSAIDS, which are non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, but other anti-inflammatories, like steroids, ARE OK.
