What would you do?

Continue to watch your weight but IMO I wouldn't try to add foods in to gain weight.  You may not make it to 18 months and continue to lose.  I made it to my goal weight at 9 months and my surgeon told me I'd probably lose about 10 more lbs from that weight.  I actually lost 11 more lbs the next month and stopped losing at 10 months out.

Like our family and friends, your doctor has never seen you at this size so she is concerned.  I went through the same thing.

" Honestly, I don't feel like I have control of this weight loss at all, my body does what it wants since I am still so new out from surgery, only 8 months. I have 18 months to work this surgery, so there is so much time left. "

You better get control now so you can start maintenance mode in another 5 pounds or so.
If you continue to lose weight at the pace you have been, for the next 10 months, you will disappear.
Be careful you don't hurt yourself by pushing it.
Note to self..... Slow and steady wins the race!       Repeat...

You've heard her opinion, and its up to you if you go further. Its 5 pounds that you are wanting to lose more - it doesn't sound dangerously low as far as weight. If I get a skin removal surgery, I look forward to knowing how much of my weight is skin.

i agree, you look Fab!! you shouldn't get hung up on a specific number, as long as you are feeling good and you are healthy and acitve, five pounds doesn't really matter so much!  is your doctor really going to worry about you if your bmi is below twenty?  you should do what feels healthy and right for you.
