Ok. So I am pre op but I want to get into the habit now. My labs did indicate Vit D "out of range", Vit B1 "out of range", b12 @310. My doc said my iron is high, but in range @ 95 (??). So here is my daily regimen:
Morning:
multi w/iron (CVS brand: Spectravite)
B12 500mcg sublingual (Nature's Bounty Brand)
B-50 complex (Puritan's Pride brand)
Calcium Citrate 500mg (just ran out - will head to Wal Mart)

Lunch:
500mg Calcium Citrate
D3 5000IU (I am using Puritan's Pride rapid release softgel. I will swith to dry once I run out)
Folic Acid 800mcg (I am paranoid about losing hair)

Dinner:
multi
500mg Calcium Citrate

And I will be adding iron and Vit C soon at bedtime.

Any comments/suggestions????

Sounds good to me.  I'm glad you're taking B12 because yours is terribly low.  Are you tired all the time?  Depressed?  Got numbness and tingling in your hands and feet?

I did my iron + 1 multi. Left my calcium & vitamin D at home so I'll do my two doses right after work and before bed. Still need to take my b12 as well.

Kelly...yes yes and yes. LOL. Prior to this new journey I hadn't been to the doc in 6 years. I finally had a mammo (I am 39).
Oh...question. My pcp says I need to take something for my fatty liver disease. Any suggestions??? And your thoughts on Biotin. I wanted to add that as well.

I don't know what would be good for the fatty liver.  What does your doc recommend?

There's not really an "official" recommendation for how much biotin to take.  It may help prevent hair loss but I haven't seen studies proving that.  It will not hurt you to take extra, you'll pee out whatever you don't need.  You might wanna post and ask others how much they take.

My PCP wanted me to take something she sells in her office for the fatty liver. But it is really pricey. I have heard about milk thistle. (I did alot of research on natural herbs.) But I have heard that the fatty liver disease will go away once I lose the weight and change my diet. Thanks for your input. I will ask about biotin.
