Nice picture on the first page, LOL... {wiping drool off of face...}

I'm wondering how much of this does not apply (or applies differently) to women because of the differences in our musculature, etc.  (not because I question any fo it... just because I am curious)

People should keep in mind that these are based on healthy bodies and we may have some physical limitations that affect this.  Because of the severe arthritis in my left knee, for example, I could not do squats if my life depended on it no matter how strong my muscles... just bending the knee that much without any weight on it causes excruciating pain.

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.

I would say most of it probably applies, even though musculature men and women are different and men will typically have  a higher metabollic rate or bodies don't have Men metabolism or women metabolism and calories are utilized the same. The main differences are the rates at which our bodies utilize calories but again that comes down to musculature differences.
