My surgery date will be coming up and I wanted to know if there is a supplement I can take now to help shrink my liver and make it even more healthy for surgery? I briefly saw something on line
and passed it over too quickly. Any ideas?

My surgeon had me follow a high protein liquid diet for 2 weeks pre-op. He recommended the Bariatric Advantage protein shakes.

Milk thisth....I had fatty liver disease and I took that for a few weeks and it brought my lab reports down

Pre-op liquid diet will shrink that sucker down good! I'd not mess with suppliments that weren't recommended by your NUT, as some things can increase risk for bleeding in surgery like Fish Oil, etc.

I did 5 week liquid protein diet to shrink mine. I used the slim fast generic at Walmart. It has 13 g protein. It's not a good choice after surgery, but fine before. 12 pack cost $8.88
