I HATE My Bed !!!!

I bought a memory foam mattress last year and I absolutely LOVE it. I didn't have the $$$ to invest in a high end name brand, so I went online to Overstock and read, and researched, and read some more and finally settled on an 11 inch memory foam medium density for $340.00 dollars (and the shipping is only $2.95). I figured even if I hated it, it wasn't a huge loss of money and could always go on the guest bed.

But guess what...it's the best sleeping mattress I've ever slept on. I even have a 2 inch memory foam topper on top of it, and it's akin to sleeping on a cloud. I sleep by myself, so if it keeps me a bit warmer, that's great since don't share my bed with any heat producers.

I've recommended my purchase to family members and all who have purchased it absolutely love it. No more pressure pains, no more tossing and turning and sleeping uncomfortably -- I wake up rested, refreshed (well when don't have leg cramps -- but that's a whole different saga), and much happier after a good night's rest.

Check out Overstock, for the price it's a wonderful option (compared to sleep number and tempurpedics).

Happy Mattress Hunting!

My husband (then boyfriend) got rid of his 8 or 9 year old Ikea mattress when I moved in because it hurt me to sleep on it.  We weren't exactly sure what we were looking for but knew we both preferred firmer beds.  After reading about the issues with heat, breakdown and um...making sex difficult, we were pretty set against a memory foam bed.

After going and trying out a bunch at our local Sleepy's, we were surprised to find beds from the Dr. Breus sleep system.  They're memory foam but FIRM (Temperpedic was way too soft) and made of different material as to not trap heat.  It seemed too good to be true!  It was sooo comfortable so we decided to take a leap of faith and purchase it.

Well, a year and a half later, we're both sleeping like babies.  The thing is so comfortable!  Not a week goes by where I don't say "Have I mentioned I love this bed?"

They're on the pricey side (no worse than your original mattress..cheaper, actually!) but so worth it!

They're only available at Sleepy's, according to the website.

I was torn between a memory foam mattress or a sleep number bed.  I had purchased a memory foam topper and still couldn't stand my old mattress.  What tipped the scales in favor of the sleep number bed was the ability to adjust it.  You couldn't do that with a memory foam mattress.

I am so glad I decided to go with it.  I no longer have any pressure points and don't spend the whole night tossing and turning.

I used to have a sleep number bed and to be very honest, I hated it. I'm excited to hear all the positive reviews. I'm sure things have improved so much since I had mine almost 15 years ago. I purchased a 4" memory foam topper from Overstock. I cut it in half and now I have an 8" topper. My husband and I no longer sleep in the same bed because he needs a firm bed and I, of course, want something super cushy. Seems like the sleep number may be our only hope. It's irritating because like you and several others, we just plunked down a nice chunk of $$$ to get me a new bed, which he does not like and I just barely tolerate with the 8" of topper.

Guess it's off to the sleep number store for me. I wonder if I can wear my jammies? Oh, and do you have a spare 3K I can have? LOL!!

I hope you find some relief soon. Let us know how your research goes!!

Thanks!

Denise
