I signed up for a personal trainer and things have been great.  It's pricey I thought but worth it. 

Well I just got a call to say that my hour long session with the trainer should only have been for half and hour!

Naturally I can't find my paperwork that I signed although I'll continue to look for it.  I'm paying $160 per month for 3 months. (one session a week) 

My free first session was an hour long so I had no reason to think a session was for half an hour.  The trainer has been training me for an hour, but apparently she was pulled aside and told that she was only supposed to be training me for half an hour. 

Is $40 for a half hour session normal?  I'm really disappointed in this because I was going to extend the training to six months but I'm not doing it if it's only for 30 mins.  That's no time at all!

Really annoyed, that I didn't catch this to begin with and that I can't find the damn paperwork. 

That sounds about right.

Ask her if there's something you can work out financially. My trainer saw my committment level and saw results and we worked out an arrangement.

It's not the dollar amount that I'm annoyed about so much as that hasn't changed.  I knew it was $40 a session.  I'm tickd because I thought the sessions were an hour long, but they are supposed to be 30 mins apparently.

I'm not paying more to do an hour, but I am going to take a look at the paperwork I signed.  I'll just finish out the three months at 30 mins.

Shame really, because I was just telling hubby that he should do it.  He was reluctant when he thought it was $40 an hour.  No way is he going to do it at $40 for 30 mins.

I can definitely understand why you're so peeved.  If you can't find your copy of the paperwork the club should have their original and be able to show you.  Those type of forms always seem to be in duplicate or triplicate it seems.

And if they show you their copy and it clearly says 1/2 hour or has something crossed out to indicate only 1/2 hour I think you'd be within your rights to say that isn't what you thought you were agreeing to and it's a damn shame cause you were looking forward to a continuing relationship with them.

Yeah, I was thinking that they will have copies.  I don't usually lose stuff like this either.  grrr...

It's been a great couple of days as well and this had to mar things a bit. 

I can understand why you are upset.  The fee sounds about right.  I am paying $85 an hour.
