I was In so much pain but every time I burp I feel SO much better! Did they put air in me to do a FILTER?

No. All they did was poke the hole in your groin (although sometimes it goes in via the neck instead) to insert it. I really think you should contact the doctor who placed it because what you are experiencing is VERY unusual, and you need to make sure that There is no problem with it since it is in the major vein in your trunk.
