Making Progress

RNY on 1-13
I had my 4th dilatation under general anesthesia yesterday and woke up in a lot of pain (and when the anesthetist put the anesthesia in my IV I felt like my hand was going to explode). As soon as I started passing gas the pain diminished and after a little while I was better, but man, for awhile there it was rough going. The doctor was able to get my tube open to 13.5, which is a huge improvement on the 6 it was at previously, but he wants to do one more dilatation in 1-2 weeks. Not sure I'm up for that, at least that's how I feel today, in addition to the usual nausea. I am getting together with my surgeon on Monday so I will discuss it further with him. 
My husband got the staples out of his abdomen yesterday and he is healing well after having all his adhesions removed and his 4 hernias repaired. He's able to eat normally although in somewhat small quantities also. We are quite a pair!
So I think we're slowly improving and maybe there is light at the end of the tunnel. Thanks everyone for supporting me through this difficult time.
