I'm on my second day of full liquids. I am able to eat cream soups. Do I need to wait an hour after eating cream soup before drinking anything?

And can someone please tell me how to add a picture for my avatar. I'm usually pretty computer literate but cannot figure out how to add a picture. It says everything I want to add is too large..no matter how small I make it!

If it is your protein source then I would wait.

I am on a pre-op liquid diet right now myself.  My directions stated I could have broth, soups(no solid pieces) and cream soups with my yogurt, jello and protein shakes.  I just ate some chicken noodle soup from the corner market but strained out  the veggies, noodles and meat at the store.  They want me to get into the habit of not drinking 30min before and after a meal but did not state it was imperative until after surgery.

I'd wait.  Not 100% sure it matters but just to help get into the habit of for no other reason.  I would think 30 minutes might do you though.

And try this...it helped me get the pic the right size.

You aren't really eating anything at this point.  It's all liquid so you should be able to drink.  After surgery when you are able to eat, you don't want to wash the food out of the pouch to soon, and that is why you wait for an hour before drinking liquids.

I'm sorry, I guess I forgot to mention that I am one week and one day post op.  The dr just moved me onto full liquids monday.  It includes cream soups, yogurts and SF pudding.
