My husband and I are planning a vacation the last week in may and are planning to ride our motorcycles some. My surgery is April 19, does anyone know if I will be ok to drive my bike without problem?

I can't tell you how you will feel, but I just had surgery on the 27th of March and will be riding mine to work this coming Tuesday.  I will be two weeks out, and feel just a touch sore, but as long as you have no complications, I wouldn't see why not!

I think you should check with your surgeon.  I know I am having my surgery 4/9/12 and asked if it was ok if I could travel to NY from NC (in a car), which he okayed.  I think it will depend on the distance and how often you are getting off and walking around.  Complications can occur from prolonged sitting.  I known when I drove my motorcycle, we were stopping every 1-1 1/2 hours to walk around anyhow but I would ask your surgeon to get his professional advise.  That is what you pay him for ......  right...  If you go, have a great time and enjoy this beautiful weather..

You should be fine - check with your doc to make sure and then decide the week before or days before how you're feeling. You might want a binder for your stomach to make you feel more secure when riding. Nice to see other women riders! Have fun.

I too am a daily bike rider. I plan to ride mine daily, hopefully, asap. If have to wear a compression belt or something to help hold in tightly till all healed is fine with me. I too am glad to see more women riders.
