Half way to my goal! (not weight)
haha, I am half way to my money goal to be able to afford my surgery! I only need another $1500 and I can reschedule my date!! I'm having a garage sale in 2 weeks, and I am also picking up some extra hours at work starting in 2 weeks for the next 6-8 weeks while one of my co-workers undergoes the knife for an exploritory surgery. I should have all my money by the end of May first of June!!! yay!
That is awesome. I don't remember what you said $ was for. Was it co-pay, deductable, co-insurance?? The reason why I ask is that if you have been having lots of different types of doc appointments, that amount may have gone down. Also...check with your insurance to see what they show that you would need to pay. Alot of times the hospital will have you pay the full amount, but they are slow in billing. So your surgeon bills, anesthesia bills, lab bills, etc. Next thing you know, you have overpaid the hospital. And they may not want to refund. Check into it. You may be closer than you think!!!! And if the hospital is asking for more than what your insurance shows you would need to pay. Ask a rep from the insurance company to call the hospital billing dept on your behalf. Good luck...keep us posted.
Lisa,
the amount has actually gone down, and will probably do so a little more. I actually ended up in the ER last week with my bp and hr through the roof. My hr was 120-130 and my bp was 160-180/100-120. Everything they are asking for is correct. I've already checked into it. I have a $3000 out of pocket max after my deductible. This is what I am needing to pay to have the surgery. :) Thanks for the great info though!!

Good for you!! You can do it!! I'm working hard to get out of debt right now. I watch every cent I spend and before I spend any money I always stop to ask myself if it is something I "need" or if it's just something I just "want".
