Sugar mgs

So, I've gotten no real "limit" to how much sugar I should have per day.  Nothing I consume has more than 35g of sugar per serving.  If I have anything close to that (I believe my OJ is around 28g per serving and I have one serving but not every day) I limit it to twice a day, but different foods.

For example, one day might have iced tea - Mango Oolong Tea, lightly sweetened, which has 80 calories in one 16.9 oz bottle, and a total of 18 g of sugar.  That would be before breakfast.  I find it very soothing for my stomach and refreshing.

Then, I would have some fruit, yogurt, milk, etc, but nothing totaling more than another 20-30g of sugar.

Is there an upper limit of total sugar intake for the day that you stick to?

Everyone is different.  Some people are affected by minimal amounts of added sugar.  You seem to be able to consume higher amounts in one sitting without trouble, so your amounts would be higher than that person's I guess.

For me, I do not consume products with significant added sugar.  If sugar is in the ingredient list then it is incidental and at least the 5th or 6th ingredient down.  The item will have no more than one or two grams of sugar total.  The remainder of my "sugar" intake comes from lactose and fructose - milk and fruits.

My daily total for all snacks and meals yesterday was 44.
The day before it was 41.
Tuesday it was 36.
Monday was 16.

I don't know if I dump, I've not chosen to test that so I don't know what my upper limits would be.

Mine recommended a number right around there per serving as well.

Not for the day, but I limit it to no more than 15 grams at a time so I don't dump.  30 grams is a LOT at one time.  I take it you don't dump.

I limit by following the 5-5-5 rule..... you can consume it if a serving has less than 5 grams sugar and/or 5 grams of fat and more than 5 grams of protein.  This keeps me safe from consuming too much junk food as most processed foods we shouldn't be eating will have more than the allowable amounts.  Everyone is different though.....

I don't know if I dump on sugar, but I definitely dump on high fat foods (I had a dip with sour cream on Superbowl Sunday and was stuck in the bathroom very sick for over an hour).

I choose not to go above 35mg sugar but the only thing that comes close to that is OJ.  I just wonder if there's a daily limit anyone has been told to stick to.  I'll be emailing my NUT about this one.
